August 2026. “Microsphere 2026- Rapid Diagnosis- Appropriate Antibiotic Choice – Remarkable Clinical Outcome” being the theme of the CME programme.

Infectious diseases remain the principal causes of morbidity and mortality necessitating the rapid identification of etiologic diagnosis. Additionally, laboratory diagnosticians are facing diagnostic challenges in a number of clinical situations emphasing the importance of the application of automation in Microbiology. Reliable and the rapid availability of antimicrobial susceptibility test results to the clinicians are essential. Application of current CLSI guidelines assures health care providers, the use of appropriate antibiotic therapy for excellent patient recovery. In the context of current antibiotic resistance scenario, Antimicrobial stewardship programme has become a necessity for every clinical microbiologist to update their knowledge.
